Ready Built Boats Available Now

While most of our customers choose to build their own boats from our range of comprehensive pre-cut kits, we recognise that the joy of boats is in using them and not everyone wants to build the boat before they can launch it. Therefore, we offer a few of our most popular designs for sale from our showroom, fully outfitted and ready to sail or paddle.

Built to a high standard by our expert boat builders, the boats listed above are ready built and available to purchase now. They can be collected from our showroom or we can arrange delivery.

Custom Built Boats

As well as the above ready-built boats, we accept commissions to build customised boats from any of our wide range of wooden kit designs, including canoes, kayaks, rowing boats, sailing boats, motor boats and paddleboards.

Before starting on a custom built boat, we will discuss your requirements and provide quotes for different options for you to consider. We can supply your boat fully finished and outfitted – ready to launch – or you can take the completed and fully sealed wooden hull to customise with paint and varnish at home.

We use only the finest materials, including sustainably grown timber and top-quality certified marine plywood. We offer a choice of finishes including hard wearing twin-pack paints and varnishes.

Each boat we build is fitted with a builder's plaque to uniquely identify it. No two boats are the same.

Prices vary depending on the boat and the finish, but are usually about four times the price of a kit. We require a deposit of about a third of the total price in advance. Most customers collect their boat from our workshop and the nearby lakes make an excellent location for launch day but, for an additional fee, we can arrange delivery.

We can usually deliver the completed boat to you within a month of ordering but, because we build to order, it can take longer if there is high demand, so if you need a ready built wooden tender for next season it may be as well to order it as soon as possible.
