Abranet Ace 150mm Sanding Discs

Abranet Ace sanding discs really make a difference when sanding your boat. The Ace discs have ceramic grains that cut better and stay sharp for longer. The net construction reduces clogging and makes attached dust extraction much more effective.

While the standard Abranet sander discs are a big step up from paper discs on any sanding job, the Abranet Ace discs are more suited to sanding hard materials, including hardwoods, epoxy and fibreglass.

We stock these 150mm diameter sander discs in various grades and we recommend that you always sand in multiple passes, starting with P80 or P120 and working up to P180 or P240. Most of the work will be done by the coarser passes, but the later passes will improve the finish you achieve, with minimal extra effort.

In our boatbuilding workshop, we find we use more P120 than any other grit. You'll generally need more of the coarser grades and fewer of the finer ones.

These discs are designed for hook-and-loop sander pads, making it quick and easy to replace worn discs and to swap to another grit for the next pass.
