The Sawyer Sea Feather kayak paddle has gorgeous v-laminated wooden blades on a lightweight carbon-fibre shaft. It has long, asymmetric spoon blades for efficient low-angle paddling, making this a perfect paddle for all-day sea kayak touring.
The carbon fibre shaft has a slightly oval cross-section, providing an ergonomic grip and control of the blade in the water. It splits into two parts for easy transportation and the ferrule provides 360° adjustable feather angle.
The paddle weighs just 850 g (1.9 lb) on average. These beautiful, light kayak paddles are hand-made so the weight may vary slightly, but usually by no more than 10%.
The feather angle can be adjusted through 360° and the length can be adjusted by 100 mm (2.4 – 2.5 m). The v-laminated cedar blades measure 5½″ × 23″ (140 × 585 mm) and are reinforced with fibreglass and protected with tough Dynel rims all round. Drip rings are included.
